How to prepare for College Visits
- Know what you're looking for in a college. There are great tips on how to find a college that best fits you at College Board Big Future
- Do the college search on Naviance and add colleges to your "Colleges I'm Thinking About" list
- Do research on the colleges you're thinking about. Explore websites, check the FAQ on college websites, research the cities in which the colleges are located, ask people who might know about them, contact the admission's representative ahead of time, and visit the CCC in HH101 to see if there are brochures available (we've got lots!)
- Prepare questions for the representatives. This is best done when you have done research on the colleges because knowing a little before your ask makes your questions deeper and allows you to have a two way conversation with the representative. Here are some questions suggested by College Board from Get it Together for College 2nd ed.

- How would you describe the kids that go there? Where do most of them come from?
